The YD-OA18-40 is an omnidirectional antenna with an operating frequency range of 18–40 GHz.
It consists of a dielectric substrate, a radiating element, and a ground plane. The thickness of the dielectric substrate is much smaller than the wavelength; a metallic thin layer at the bottom of the substrate is in contact with the ground plane, while a metallized pattern with a specific shape is formed on the front surface via photolithography to serve as the radiating element.
This structure enables the microstrip antenna to achieve a specific radiation pattern, thereby meeting the requirement for omnidirectional radiation.
